Time commitment

As Music Librarian, you’ll make sure that choir members, and potential new members, have all the sheet music they need, and you’ll keep track of it.
Your responsibilities
Establish what music is needed. You'll liaise well in advance with the Musical Director to find out what sheet music is needed for the upcoming choir term.
Prepare music packs. You’ll order printed packs of this music for choir members, and spares for potential new members. That will involve compiling a set of digital pdfs, and sending it to a printer.
Distribute the music. You’ll give their packs to choir members at the start of term, and to new joiners as needed.
Manage the material. You’ll ensure that the spare music packs, and a number of copies of individual songs, are available and easily accessible for choir sessions. (Individual songs will be needed for taster sessions, for example.)
Keep records. Using Making Music Platform, you’ll maintain a digital record of all the songs in the Cricklesingers’ repertoire, and how many packs / individual printed copies are available.
Your skills and qualities
Highly organised and methodical, with a great eye for detail.
Comfortable with assembling digital packs of pdfs on your computer.
Comfortable with admin and record keeping, for example using Excel spreadsheets.
